2015 Turning Up the Volume on Playing Live

Turning Up the Volume on Playing Live: A Music Industry Event

Turn Up and the Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance are calling on musicians and musically-minded people from the Sunshine Coast region and Greater South East Queensland to turn up, connect, network, listen and learn on Thursday the 25 June, 2015, at the Nambour Civic Centre from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

The spotlight for the evening is firmly on playing live music. Gigs, festivals, touring and media are key topics for an industry panel discussion, facilitated by Ant McKenna (Sunshine Coast Council) and featuring Bill Hauritz (Woodford Folk Festival), Jeff Chandler (Gympie Music Muster), Mark Pico (The Big Pineapple Music Festival), Kevin Borich (Artist), Brian Goodworth (The Solbar), Anthony Lustri (Alt Journal).

The event is strongly focused on bringing music people together. Breaks in the program will be provided to enable attendees to interact, network and share whilst being entertained by some of the Sunshine Coast’s world-class artists: Karen Law Duo and Dear Willow.

Registrations for the free music industry event are filling quickly, with local musicians, agents, songwriters, managers, creative entrepreneurs, producers and music students amongst those already registered to attend.
