How can I get to the venue?

The venue encourages travelling green. So, ride your bike, catch a bus or car pool!

Solbar is only 400 metres from Maroochydore Bus Station. Find out bus and train timetables by using the Translink Journey Planner.

The venue provides a place to park and lock your bike right at their front door.

If you are travelling from Brisbane we encourage carpooling or taking public transport. You can catch the train to Nambour and then bus to Solbar. Find out bus and train timetables by using the Translink Journey Planner.

What is the dress code for the conference?

Solbar’s dress regulations are as follows:

  • Dress Shorts
  • Closed Shoes
  • No Hats
  • No Singlets
  • No Sports or Liquor Jerseys or Logos
  • No Motorcycle Branding or Paraphernalia
What is the weather like on the Sunshine Coast in October?

Temperatures in the Sunshine Coast are generally warm all year round.  Summer temperatures average 17 – 28 degrees Celsius from December to February.

What food is included in my registration?

Thursday afternoon/evening conference (for Thursday conference and VIP ticketholders only):

A range of finger food.

Friday Industry Breakfast (for Friday breakfast or VIP ticketholders only): 

  • 1 piece of Turkish/sourdough (or gluten-free equivalent)
  • Scrambled eggs
  • 2 rashers of bacon
  • Grilled tomato 
  • Coffee/tea or juice.  

Drinks can be purchased at the bar for both events.

 

What if I have special dietary requirements?

Special dietary requirements will be catered for.

Where can I find information on accommodation and place to eat close to the venue?

Visit Sunshine Coast has information on both accommodation and food and drink options.

How do I get from the airport to the conference venue?
Sunshine Coast Airport is based in Marcoola, about 10 kilometres north of Maroochydore. You have a number of options for transport:

I am a speaker or panelist, is there anything I need to know?

Thank you for your commitment to the music community on the Sunshine Coast.
Please make a note of your scheduled time. We ask speakers to be at the venue at least 30 minutes before their scheduled slot and in the backstage area of the Playhouse (to the left of the stage) 10 minutes before the scheduled slot.
The schedule can be found on the schedule page.

Turn Up! require speaker bios, photos and contact information to be sent as soon as you are confirmed for the conference. You can upload these on the Speakers Information Page, where you can also find information on your accommodation, driver and can upload your invoice for payment.
If you have not been issued a password to the Speakers Information Page, or have forgotten it, please contact Turn Up! to be issued the information.

Is the cost of a ticket to Turn Up! tax deductible?
