at Turn Up! 2022
Turn Up are in need of a limited number of volunteers to assist with the conference.
If you are willing to serve as a volunteer, in exchange for your time, you will receive a complimentary entry to Turn Up for the conference and a volunteer certificate (Available on request). Please fill out the form below if you are interested, and Turn Up will contact you to let you know if you have been chosen to be a volunteer for the conference.
You must be age 18 or older to volunteer. If you are accepted as a Turn Up volunteer, you will be given an assignment on the day(s) of your choice.
*Please note: Volunteer roles are limited and we expect a number of applications. Not everyone who applies will be successful in securing a role.
As Venue setup and AV you will be required to assist with the venue setup and/or pack down. You will also be required to run the AV – Powerpoint presentations for the conference and speakers.
You will need to be able to follow directions from the Production Manager and to be confident managing a computer, following a run sheet and taking cues from the speakers.
You will be required to assist at the registration desk, making sure all delegates have a ticket or have paid at the door.
As Speaker liaison you will be required to greet speakers, escort them to the Media Wall to be photographed and show them to the backstage area. You may also be required to assist with introducing some speakers to the panel facilitator, fellow panelists or interviewers.
You may also be required to assist with catering for the speakers, arranging to pick up coffee or tea from the venue front bar.
*You will be required to be available on both days for all sessions for this role.
The social media assistant will be present for all sessions and showcases, taking photos, filming video, doing Facebook lives and posting to the Turn Up! social media with provided hashtags. You will encourage delegates to post using the Turn Up! hashtags.
You will need to have the ability to follow a run sheet and to spot and take advantage of marketable milestones throughout the event.
